Gilbey Building Contractors is a family run business that has been operating together for 7 years. Both John and Stephen Gilbey have been in the Building trade their whole lives. John moved to Southend-On-Sea from Norfolk 20 years ago to take up the position of Director in a local building company, eventually teaming up with Steven 7 years ago to form their winning team!

John has worked closely with Gilbey Building Contractors on a number of projects which currently include residential extensions ranging in building costs from £50,000 to £350,000. All work is undertaken by arrangement with John and he will liase with you from site survey, design and detailed drawings stage right through to contractors final account where required. The architectural practice has been operating for over 25 years locally and the work load is varied from small residential extensions, extensions to commercial property, leisure buildings - including the new Virgin Active building in Thundersley which is due to open Spring/Summer 2003.
