Gilbey Builders - The above first carried out work for us in 1983 when they built a fairly extensive single storey extension to the rear of the house. This entailed substantial manual digging for footings to match house foundations, plus electrics, heating and glazing. All the members of that team were involved in the preparation and installation of the conservatory in 1997. This work also embraced ground levelling and patio construction, plus high-level uPVC replacement soffits. Between those dates and since we have used Gilbeys for a garage extension to meet above extension; re-profiling and crazy-paving the front of the house together with porch canopy enhancement; block paving a shared drive; combining a bathroom and toilet into one with necessary internal building work and fit-out: various internal plastering/minor building work and, most recently, fitting of uPVC replacement front door unit. We use Gilbey Building Contractors because:- We know that they are the cheapest for Quality, which is important when spending on your own property. Whilst we always have firm ideas of what we want, they have always advised us well as to what was perhaps not so good, or perhaps better, based on their experience, always keeping in mind that we were the customer and the work was for our benefit and not theirs. Any queries have always been put right as a priority without dispute. Where work quoted for has not proved to be necessary it was advised to us and taken off the account.
